My friend Stevie and his little girl took me and Garrett to the movies Sunday afternoon. Hailey has been stuck in the house ever since she broke her leg two weeks ago. (She broke both of the bones in the bottom part of her leg. She was jumping on a friend's trampoline.)
They originally wanted to go see 'Hotel For Dogs' however when we got there, they decided that they wanted to see 'Bedtime Stories' . I don't even remember the last movie that I saw at the theater. We don't go to the movies very often. I usually just rent movies. We thought it would be 'special' to get her out. They loved it! They kept laughing out loud! It was so funny! There were only 4 or 5 other people in there. We almost had it all to ourselves!
I don't know if anyone else out there has ever done this before. It seems to be one of my trademarks. lol I always take an empty purse and fill it with goodies from the Dollar Tree for the kids to have in the movies. I'm cheap! I've done this ever since Christy was a little girl! They always make fun of me...but they sure do like the treats! (I don't buy the kids candy normally. Only for holidays and going to the movies.) We still buy popcorn at the concession stand. It wouldn't be the same without popcorn! We always put our trash back in the purse and take it home with us.

You all looked like you had a good time, it is really nice to do something different every now and then. The kids both look so sweet.
I do not blame you about purchasing treats prior to getting to the movie. It is so expensive to go to the movie, and then the candy is marked up so much. I do not remember the last time I was at the movie either, but I do remember it was expensive.
Have a great day.

Dear Lee Laurie,
It's nice to get to the movies once and awhile, but we don't go very often either.
I have been guilty of the dollar store treats in my purse routine ~ but we always buy popcorn too. One whiff and I just have to have some.
My daughter saw this movie and liked it too :)
It was a nice little outing. It was good for Hailey to get out of the house for a little while and it gave her and Garrett some time together. She is getting around much better. I think they both were missing one another. They might not admit it publicly, but they love one another very much. They can play for hours and we will never hear a word from them. They are very loving and caring children with huge hearts.
Hailey and Garrett.....well, Lee and I too, laughed during the movie. My sister use to bring goodies into the movies in her daughter's diaper bag. They are already planning another trip to the movies!
Take care,
Stevie
Cookie Dough Bites??!!! I've never heard of such a thing! OMG..I'll have to dream about them since I have said "NO NO" to sweets. LOL
Sneaky girl taking in a stash goodies to the movies!
