My little monsters...

This is an old Halloween picture of Cole,Garrett, and Christy. Cole was the monster from the movie "Scream", Garrett was "Woody" from" Toy Story", and I asked Christy what she was and she just said that she was 'blue'. She doesn't look very blue with that big smile on her face! They were so cute! Last night we went to a halloween party at my sister's in Kentwood. Garrett was an army man and her son Chase was a football player. I didn't get to take pictures because when I tried to, my camera battery had died! That is why I'm posting an old photo. We had a good time at her house. She made chili bowls for super. Its a Paula Dean recipe. She also make home-made pumpkin pies. It was hard for me to eat them because they are Cole's favorite. I will make him one just for him on Thanksgiving. He will get to come home on pass for a few days.

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!

Old Country Roses

This is me at work a few days ago. I was standing by my favorite china. This is my china pattern and I just love it. One of my brides that is having her bridal shower next week, came into the store and changed her pattern to this one. This is the one she really wanted at first but was afraid that it was too fru-fru for her future husband. She brought him in and showed it to him and he told her that it didn't matter to him as long as SHE was happy! Wasn't that sweet? I've already sold 6 placesettings for her and some extra pieces too.
She is gonna be so glad that she changed her pattern to the one she really loves.

Hooked on houses...

Isn't this house pretty? I drove by it when I was in Hattiesburg on family day. I just had to take some pictures of it. These are the colors that I'm using on my little cottage. I love all of the gingerbread trim. I want to add that to my cottage too. I am putting new flooring down this week in my den. I decided on laminate floors instead of ceramic tile. I don't know how hard it will be to install. Maybe it won't be too bad. I just love taking pictures of pretty homes. I wonder what the owners think when they see a strange lady taking pictures of their houses? I could make a full album of all the houses that I've
photographed over the years. I might do that one day. I can't wait 'til the holiday decorations start going up! That will make beautiful pictures.

Field trips are fun!

This past Wednesday, I went with my little boy's 2nd grade class on a field trip to the pumpkin patch in Crystal Springs, Ms. We had a good time. They have been learning about all kinds of fruits and vegetables. There was a big garden with many different kinds of veggies and the children were able to look and touch them.

Garrett and a couple of his buddies. He was smushing one of his friends down on the ground. Boys will be boys!!

We had a picnic on the ground. It was a very beautiful day, too. He loves school and he is learning so much. I'm glad that I was able to go with him.

Spending the day with Cole

These photos are from 'family day' with Cole. I wanted to add these to the previous post but ran out of room. We had such a good visit and it was a beautiful day outside. Cole wanted me to go down by the lake with him so that we could have some alone time. He wrote a new song and he played it for me. He loves to write his own music. He is very good.

It wasn't very long until several people came over to listen to him. After that the 'alone time' was over. We enjoyed seeing him sing and play for everyone. Time just flew by and then it was time to leave.

Me and Cole at the end of our day. We were all sad to see it end. Cole has matured so much since he has been at Camp Shelby and he makes me very proud.

Family Day with Cole

These pictures were taken at Camp Shelby for family day on October 18th. It was so good getting to spend time with him. This is Cole and his sister and her baby. I finally got to put a picture of baby Jason on here. Isn't he adorable? He loves his Uncle Cole, too. Christy and Cole together. My babies...growing up.

Me and Cole. We had a good visit and we didn't want to see it end.

I'm so glad that they will always have each other.

Christy and her husband grilled steaks for us.(Cole's favorite.) She also brought him a pumpkin pie.(His other favorite) He will get to come home on pass for Thanksgiving. We are counting the days!

Me and Christy

This is me and my daughter. We were at a wedding a few years ago. Christy was a bridesmaid. All of the bridesmaids wore these pretty silver dresses. They were all home-made. I'm so glad that she and I are so close. We kind-of grew up together. I was almost 17 years old when she was born . I will always be here for her. I'm so happy that she has a loving husband and a beautiful little baby boy. Everytime that I'm around baby Jason, I see Christy in him and it brings back so many memories of when she was a baby.
