My pink Christmas tree

Here are some pictures of my pink and white tree. I love this tree. I love all of the pink! Each ornament has a special meaning to me. The little victorian girl in lace and wine satin was one my daughter received when she was the flower girl in my friend's wedding. She was only three years old at the time.

Christy bought me this beautiful angel ornament last year in the picture below. I love it.

The picture that I have hanging is one by Lena Liu that I bought years ago at The Mole Hole where I use to work. It is a wreath of roses. This is one of my favorite pictures.

I bought the little birdhouse with the dove a couple of weeks before Christmas at Hobby Lobby. They only had this one left. It looks like a little bird-cottage. My Aunt Jenny bought me the pink Santa ornaments from Spiegel years ago. They came three to a set. I love them. I think of her every time I hang them on my tree. I bought the ceramic crosses and snowflakes last year. I just love them.

I hope everyone out there had a wonderful Christmas. It seems like it came and went very fast this year. I think I will leave my trees up until after the new year so that I can enjoy them. I love to sit on my sofa and just have the lights of the tree on. I can just sit there drinking hot chocolate and relax. I hope that you enjoyed my pictures. Have a Happy New Year!!

Stage Band Christmas

Garrett and Hailey riding the bull at Sante Fe restaurant.

These were taken a few nights ago at Southwest Junior College's Christmas Stage band show. My friend and his little girl took Garrett to the show. I had to work...of course. The admission to the show was a stuffed teddy bear. They took 2 teddy bears each. They donate the bears to toys for tots. They had a really good time and they even went out to eat afterwards.

My Southern Rose Christmas Tree

These are a few pictures of my Christmas tree this year. I decorated this one pretty simple this year. I'm not even through with it yet. I add a couple of things each night as I unpack them. I decided to use silk roses, silk hydrangeas and silk poinsettas. I thought that roses would be nice since I am a southern rose.
The kids and I still have to decorate the white tree in the den. We are gonna use lots of pinks and greens. I am just having to work so much now (retail at Christmas). I don't get to enjoy the holidays as much as I would like too.

I love these gold ornaments with the crocheted doilies on top of them. I think that they are so pretty. The colors of the roses goes so well with my Old Country Roses china.
I will take more pictures as I add more ornaments to show you.

Coffee Time

Good Morning! I'm just sitting here drinking my morning coffee and trying to get my self going. The fibro is really trying to get me down today. I'm not gonna let it! We are having a get- together over at my Dad's house today for my grandma that stays in the nursing home. I will get to see my Aunts and Uncles and cousins that I haven't seen in a while. It will be so good to see them again. This will be the first time that they get to see my grandbaby. Little Jason is gonna get so many hugs and kisses today!

Let it snow, Let it snow

This morning when I woke Garrett for school this is what we saw. Everything covered in pretty white snow. We hardly ever get snow here in Mississippi.

Look at my angel. Now she is a snow angel.

Garrett wanted to stay home from school to play in the snow, but the schools were open. They said on the radio that school would be open and Garrett didn't want to miss any days. They called a couple of hours later and said that they were closing. He was able to come home and play in the snow after all. He had so much fun.

The mobile home I recently purchased for my 'secret' project looks a little cabin-ney. The picture of my rose garden with a picnic table in the corner....I think it could be a post card cover.

I can't believe that we are having snow in December. I stayed in all day long and wrapped gifts and decorated and listened to Christmas music. I even watched 'Miracle on 34th Street'. The one with Maureen O'Hara. I love that movie. I'm listening to Bing Crosby right now on my old stereo. It brings so many memories of my childhood Christmases when I hear him sing. I'm glad that I was off today from work so that I could enjoy the day inside...playing. I have to go now because I have to be at work in the morning at 6:30. I will probably dream of a white Christmas...

I would love to live in this dreamhouse!

I wanted to show y'all this pretty house that I found in Hazelhurst, Ms. that is for sale. I have even been inside of it before and it is so...me. The front part of the house is cottage victorian and the back part (this was added on) is like a rustic cabin. Can you just imagine decorating this home?

This long screened-in porch is on the back of the house. It has a large stained-glass window at the end of the porch. That is a bathroom.

This is a sun-room that I would use for my office/scrapbook room/computer room.

Look at the ivy vines that are growing on the large window of the great-room. Looking from the inside out, it looks as if they are painted on the glass. This is such a pretty home and it is in the historic district. The only thing that I don't like is that it is on a main busy highway. I like living where I'm at because it is kind-of like living out in the country. I haven't taken many pictures of the outside of my cottage because I'm not happy with it yet. I still have so much to do. I like to look at these other homes because they give me inspiration. If I was to ever add on to my little cottage, I would like to have a rustic great-room like this one. I've always loved the warm, cozy, cabin feel of cedar and big windows.
