Cole is home

My son Cole is back home with me for a while. I really missed him while he was away. I don't know how long he will be home. He is going through a lot in his life right now and I just want to be here for him. I'm not going to post about what all is going on because he needs to work it all out and I don't want to make him more upset than he already is. I just have to be here and love him like I always have.
He was only a year and a half in the top picture. We were getting ready to go to a Christmas party. (You can see in the background that I collected old linens even back then.)

Me and my little 1st grader. Wasn't he a doll? Everyone always calls him a mama's boy...that is fine with me!

Years later at another one of our family Christmas parties.

I am so glad that he knows that he can come to me with anything and that I will really listen. I may not always give him the advice that he wants to hear at the time...but in the long run he knows that I want the best for him.

I feel this way about all of my children and I always will.

Aww, your pictures are so great!! I know you are loving him being there with you, I was thrilled when my 20 year old baby boy decided he wanted to move home!!! What a comfort it is for him to be with his Mama I'm sure. Whatever he's going through, it'll work out especially with a Mom as special as you for a shoulder to lean on. Big Hugs, ♥ Teresa

I am very happy for you, but sad for Cole....it is so wonderful that the two of you share such a close bond, and that he can come to you in times like these.
Enjoy him while he is back home..and I truly hope that whatever the sweet boy is going through will be short lived...best of luck to him!

Hugs for both you and Cole,

Hi love!
I went back and read all the posts you've done...boy am I behind!
I'm glad that you have Cole back with you and I'm sure that deep down inside he will listen to his mama's advice.

On a lighter note; I loved your thrift finds! The lamp is awesome. Have you put your planters on a post? Did I miss them? If you haven't, be sure to sometime soon. I'd love to see your collection.
I started collecting after I went to Jennifer's and fell in love with that little lamb planter. I'm not kidding when I say that I have passed up hundreds of those little suckers! I'm not sure why I didn't see how precious they are....oh well, at least I know now!!

I sure do miss you and Stevie. I hope things are going great for you both.

Marshall is still in a bit of pain but we both have doctors appointments tomorrow...yuk, so I guess we will have to wait until some more tests are done.

Well I'm off to beddy bye!

Love ya!

I'm very close to my boys too and I'm sure your heart is breaking right now. When they are in pain it hurts. I know your son is thankful that he has a mom he can turn to when things get rough. These times will only strengthen the bond you already have...
Prayers for you both.

I bet every fiber of your being is aloft on cloud nine...as well you have right to be, for now...you are able to be aside him and hopefully help him and show him the love that you are bathed in...be patient and kind...and prayerful....

And we will too! :)

I hope for the best for Cole, he has a great Mommy to help him out!

It feels so good to have them home. Sometimes you just want to have them back in the nest and take care of them.
