Birthdays and Mother's Day...

Look at my baby! He was so embarrassed when we took him cupcakes to school for his birthday! He covered his face when his classmates got ready to sing 'Happy Birthday' to him.

His little friend "Hailey" was singing and he started acting so shy!

His cheeks are still red in this one.

Both of my daughters went. Erin, brought little drinks and I brought the cupcakes. I had to buy them because they won't allow you to bring anything to school anymore that is not pre-packaged. Christy brought Jason. LOL This is Garrett giving his little nephew a kiss. So sweet!

Christy, Jason, and Garrett. My oldest child and my youngest.

Erin (my step-daughter) and her little brother. They love each other so much.

Me and Garrett. I woke up feeling bad that morning and I had to force myself to go to his school. I would not have missed it for anything! Look at his big smile! He was so happy!

It's hard to believe that he is 8 years old!

Me and Erin passing out cupcakes. I almost dropped them on one little girl's head. That would have been terrible! Garrett thought it would've been funny! He said he was just kidding.

Garrett was really enjoying that cupcake!

That night we took them to Chuckie Cheese for his birthday. Jason was not sure about Chuckie!

He wouldn't take his eyes off of him. This was his first time to ever go there.

Me and my baby. He had a blast! I was getting so tired and we still had an hour to drive to get home.

He played so much that he didn't want to eat much Pizza. He used tons of tokens and won tons of tickets to buy goodies. He said that it was one of his best birthdays ever.

My daughter bought me this plant for Mother's Day and a Fenton candle holder. She brought them to me at work. This is looking out of my kitchen window. That storage building is the one that I want to clean out and make into my little craft studio.

This is the candle holder that Christy and Phillip bought for me. I love it. Also the picture that Garrett had made for me at school. Stevie bought me the little desk and surprised me with it. He also got me the pretty vase.

I really like the crackle finish on the desk. He said that I could strip it down if I wanted to but I think I will leave it as it is. I might change the knobs one day.

The inside of the desk. Wonder what I can put in there?

This is the picture that Garrett's teacher had taken for me for Mother's Day. She brought old clothes to school for them to put on and make these old looking photos. He picked out what he wanted to wear. A dress suit and a cool hat and a baseball bat! I love it. He is adorable!
I had a very nice Mother's Day. Except for having to work. (That's retail) My step-son Chase and his wife Felicia and their two babies came by work to see me. They live a few hours away in Starkville, Ms. He goes to college there. I didn't even know that they were coming into town. It was a nice surprise.

Cole called me about 4 times and sang me a song on the computer. He is feeling a lot better.

I went back to the cardiologist today for my check up. He changed my heart medicine again. After he read my results again he saw where the main artery to my heart is really small. It is not blocked at all. It is just small. He said that some women have small arteries. I'm trying a new medicine for the irregular heartbeats and I also have to take a baby aspirin every day. I also have to start an exercise plan because my good cholesterol is lower that it should be. He said that exercise will help it to go up. I'm gonna have to force myself to exercise because I'm always so tired and I hurt so much. I'm gonna try really hard. I start getting B12 shots on Thursday and that should help with my energy. My friend Stevie bought us both 10 speeds the other day. I haven't been on a bike in years. They say that you never forget how to ride a bike! Wish me luck!

Hi there Lee,

I hope you're feeling a bit better.

Oh, I just want to squeeze your son's cheeks. It's exciting to see our boys celebrate their birthdays, but it is kinda sad too. Sad, because they are growing up too darn fast. Can't they stay little a little bit longer?

We went to Chuckie Cheese for Tristan's birthday too. He loved it. Glad you had a nice time.

Until then, take care and God bless.

Toodles.

Hi Sweet Friend, I so enjoyed seeing your pics from your darling boys birthday. What fun they had. He is a cutie. Your Mother's Day was special too even though you had to work. I remember those retail days too well. Always open for holidays and more. Love your candle holder and the desk is awesome.
What a great idea the teacher had with the clothers for pics. I love it and what a great picture.

Keeping you in prayer for better days ahead with the heart issues.
Have a blessed week.

Garrett had a blast at Chucky Cheese. I remember him saying, "this is the best birthday ever!" I think he won about 400 tickets all together. That is a new record....who-ah! We all had a great time.
I am glad that you had a good Mother's Day. I hated that you had to work, however, in this day and time it is a blessing to have a job(trying to look at the good side) ;-) I am looking forward to riding the bicycles.....hopefully Hailey and Garrett will not run off and leave us behind!!
Take care,
Stevie
