A gift from a friend...

This is a quick post. I had to show you all what a blogging friend sent to us as a wedding gift. Tammy from the 'Stitching Coop' made these sachet pillows for us. They are so beautiful and smell wonderful. Every time I walk into the bedroom and smell them I think of her and her husband. It was so thoughtful of them. I'm having a hard time this year with the holidays. The last 6 months have been extremely difficult and sometimes I just don't know how to deal with the things going on in our lives. I realized that I had to let go and turn everything over to God. He will get us through these trying times. I won't go into detail on here. But I will tell you that when we opened the box from Tammy and Steve and saw the saying that she had sewn on the pillow....it really touched my heart.

Please keep us in your prayers.

Thank you, Tammy and Steve....

We have gone thru some "stuff" these last 6 months and still have more to come. We also have had good memories and happy times during those same months. We have to turn it all over into his hands and hold on each other. Together and with God's love, we will make it. I know many heart felt prayers are being lifted up for us. We are blessed to have each other, our families and our friends along with many other blessings. I will be strong for you.

I don't need to know what is happening to include you all in my prayers. Life is hard under the best of circumstances let alone getting through the hardest of them. Prayer is my only true comfort and it's what I turn to the most. Second, my husband who is my best friend. Without the two, no other would matter nearly as much. It is through them both I've learned I can't change what has already happened, only how I respond to it & what emotion I will give to the situation. If it requires a lot of energy, I have to walk away. Health, home and heart. This is my mantra. It works and it keeps me grounded.

I'm happy you like your pillow. I made it thinking it would look so pretty on your spring summer bed without thinking you might change out for winter. :) either way, glad you like your gift. remember it always, it helps.

Hugs and love
Tammy.. and steve. LOL

Hey Lee Laurie :) First thanks for your comments on my mantle..you're such a sweetheart!
Second..the pillow is just lovely and what a wonderful gift to treasure.
Now thirdly...we've gone through a LOT of stuff...so anytime you want to talk, just email me and unburden your shoulders for a while. I know how to pray and I will agree with you in prayer my sweet friend! If you want I can send you my cell number and we can chat that way too. :)
Love you much and just know that God is in control...even when we can't see the end results of what's going on.
Praying for you girlie

Lee...I love what your Stevie said. In the midst of all the trying things we always have things to be grateful for. When I look back on my life with my Steven I can't begin to tell you some of the heartache we've experienced over the years. Infertility, financial ruin, job insecurity, death, problems with one of children and on and on and on. What I know today is that somehow in the midst of everything the ONE THING that never changed was God. Steve and I caved over with the wind so many times but He remained the same. The one constant in our lives. I'm so grateful for that~

Reading the last line your hubby wrote "I will be strong for you" left me in tears. A true man...a REAL man!

Blessings to you and big hugs and love. Thank you for visiting me and always sharing such amazing words about my work. Means more than you know~

Hi Lee Laurie,
What a wonderful gift from Tammy. She is such a talented designer and I too have many of her sachets and love them. The pillow is beautiful and says it all. Tammy is a dear and thoughtful girl and I think the world of her.

Whatever you are challanged with will pass with God's direction. My hubby and I have been married 38years and in that time we have seen and gone through so many difficult times, but with God's direction we came through. Your sweetheart is a wonderful man and when he said he would be strong for you, that is the words of a man directed with God's love.
Just know you have friends that will keep you in pray.
I wish you the best Christmas and many blessings in the new year.
Your friend,
Love and Hugs, Celestina Marie

Hey sweet girl...I will give you the recipe just as soon as I get it from my mom. :) (hope she'll give it to me! lol) I love the idea of doing the cookie cutters for your son's class..I hadn't even thought of that, but it sure is an inexpensive way to give gifts to a big group! :)
The offer stills stands if you ever need to talk...I'm here.
Love ya
Missy :)
