Our Wedding....July 22, 2011

July 22, 2011....I married my best friend, the one that I laugh with and love. "Where is my bride? I better go get her".

Stevie walking up the path to the cabin to get me. It was a long path and I didn't want to walk down to the pond alone. We had our wedding down by the pond under an old wrought iron arch. We had originally planned to be married up at the cabin until Stevie found the archway by accident. We knew that would be the perfect place.

Stevie, when he first saw me. :) The song that was playing was called "Will You Marry Me?" by John Berry.

He met me on the porch of the cabin....

Walking through the arch...

Saying our vows...

The 'kiss'...

Husband and wife...

All smiles....

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Yoas.

Ready to start the rest of our lives together.

Our reception at the cabin.

Our rings placed on a pillow sachet made by Rebecca from "A Gathering Place". One of the first blogs that I ever read. I bet she will be surprised to see this. Such a sweet lady.

Our pretty wedding cake that Stevie's cousin made for us.

Cutting our cake.

Yummy....wedding cake.

Our 'getaway' vehicle...a golf cart. :)

A ride around the pond...

Happily Ever After...

Together for always. The search is over....you were with me all the time.

I love this post. The first picture makes me think of that song by Brad Paisley, Waiting on a Woman and just like the song says, it was worth it. The wedding was perfect, just like we wanted it to be. I want to go back to the cabin for another weekend. We can bring the kids....y'all can fish and ride the golf buggy, our get away vehicle..ha...and just relax. They would love it there, it is so peaceful. We couldn't have picked a better place to have our wedding and honeymoon. I love you.

Oh your wedding was just lovely, I'm SOOOOO happy for you! You are such a beautiful lady..he's a lucky man. :)
Hey, you CAN make that camera strap cover...it's nothing but straight line sewing and a little tacking by hand with a needle and thread...easy peasy! :)
What kind of island are you wanting to make for your kitchen? I saw a cute idea the other day on pinterest. Someone took an old door, put some old porch post legs on it and made it into an island. The top had a piece of glass or plexi on it to cover the dips where the panels of the door was. It was really cute all painted up. :)
Hope you're having a wonderful week as a married lady! :0)

Oh girl, you HAVE to use that old door...that would be the sweetest island in the whole world! What sentimental value it would have! You'll have to let me know if you use it, I'd love to see pictures! :)
