In The Garden

I haven't been on here for a while. We have been through a lot over the past few weeks. Our sweet grandmother passed away on October 9th. We all knew that she didn't have much time left here with us. The doctors all told us that she didn't have many days left. We all spent as much time as possible with her in the nursing home and the hospital. My daughter and youngest son and my dad and I were with her the night before she went to Heaven. She and my daughter sang songs together. Her favorite ones. "In The Garden" and "When They Ring Those Golden Bells" and "Amazing Grace". Daddy says that he will never forget them singing together. These are the songs that we played at her funeral.

Me and my daughter.

Me and my oldest son

My three precious children.

These last few weeks have been so hard but only for us. Mamaw is in Heaven and her 'hard' days are over.

I am so very sorry. It's so hard to lose your grandma. What wonderful memories you will have of your time together. My grandma died about ten years ago and I still miss her terribly, but am able to cry tears of joy now when I think of all the fun we had together. She's in Heaven now with her family and bringing them all joy. It's hard to share the ones we love so dearly. Hugs to you and your family.

Also -- that was THE most beautiful song. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it, visualizing walking in that garden with my Lord.

Oh I am so sorry for your families loss! I will keep you guys in my prayers. I lost my grandma a while back and it just devastates your heart for quite some time. I have been looking at old photos this week of my family and so many have passed on to be with the Lord...it's just so hard for the ones left behind...I've cried a lot this week looking at those. I'm glad to have all my memories though..they are very comforting. :)
I am really enjoying this crockpot..I had NO clue how much I was missing not having one with a removable insert...Oh the joy! :)
Hope things get easier for you. Oh, and you have beautiful children! :)
Love ya friend
