Happy 18th birthday, Cole.

Well...Cole finally turned 18 years old on July 31st! He has talked about it for the last couple of years! He couldn't wait to get 18. How come when we were kids, we couldn't wait until that big day and now when we are older we would like to go backwards in age!? LOL I'm posting a lot of pictures of his different birthday parties. Sorry, Cole I wasn't able to find them all. Some are still packed up.

This picture and the one above was of you when you were 6 months old. I cooked your favorite food...Mac and Cheese! You always loved that! We were living in Denver,Co.

This was after we came back home to Ms. We had your 1st birthday party at my daddy's house. We had only been home for about a week. Your cake was a circus cake.

You loved clowns! Your cake had balloons and clowns on it.

Here you were opening up a gift and singing "Happy Birthday!" You always loved to sing!

Here you were at 3 years old. This was the year that you were all into 'Batman' and firetrucks! We bought you this big firetruck that did all kinds of sirens. You loved it! I made your cake and it was a 'Batman' cake.

You and My step sister Deanna getting ready to blow out the candles! All 3 of them!

Here you are at 4 years old. You loved 'Power Rangers' that year! 'Power Ranger' everything!

Blowing out your candles!

You were 5 years old here and we celebrated your birthday in Destin, Fla. while we were on vacation. You were the only one with a 'happy' face. We were all too sunburned to smile too much. Erin, Christy, and Chase all had sunburned faces and yours was untouched because I kept so much sunscreen on you. My ugly white sunshades helped protect mine a little bit. You had such a big smile on your face.

That was the year that you were all into dinosaurs! Remember!?

Your birthday party was in the theme of Race cars because that is all that they had at the dollar store down from the hotel. Your hat was from Burger King!

You were 7 years old here. We had your party at home out by the pool. This was the only picture that I could find of this party. I know that the theme was "Small Soldiers". You loved the movie... you were all into that!

You were 11 years old here and you were still into Super Heroes! Your cake was 'Spiderman'.
Here you are at 18!!! All grown up! It seemed strange not being able to get you a Super Hero cake for your birthday. I know that I haven't done that in years but I almost did this year. LOL
My sweet little boy Cole all grow up into a young man now. Where did the years go?

You will always have my heart Cole. No matter how old you get you will always be my little boy.I will always be here for you. I love this picture of you and Shanna.

Sometimes when I look at you I still see the little boy that I use to hold in my arms until you fell asleep and kiss the boo-boos that you got daily!
Now you are about to have your own son in November. When you do, you will be able to experience the same kind of love that I have had for you all of these 18 years.
My life has been so blessed with you as my son.
I love you with all of my heart. Happy birthday.

Awww LL that was the sweetest. I had such a similar reaction when dustin turned 18. He had already graduated long before his class so it was strange in a way. He moved into his own apartment shortly thereafter and now, he comes home to say hi with laundry in tow and asking what's in the fridge!!

Gotta love em :)

Happy Birthday COLE!

How time flies, that is why we have to enjoy those special moments we do have with them before they spread their wings into a newer journey. But they will always be our babies!!
I remember my son having the same haircut lol and there are a few pics you have that bring back memories of when my son was that age. Now he is married and Dad to my precious grandsons, I too have 3 grandsons !!.

Have a blessed week ahead!!

Happy Birthday to your son. I know how you were feeling as you selected those photos.. It tugs really hard at those heartstrings doesn't it. And if we could we would shrink them down and hold those little wonders in our arms once again.
Hugs to you
