God is in control...

These are pictures of my son and his girlfriend and her dad at their graduation from Camp Shelby this past December.

They didn't know each other before they started Camp Shelby. Now they are inseparable.

Me and Cole. My firstborn son. The time has really flown by.

Cole and Shanna one night when we took them out to eat.

Cole and Shanna when they went out to eat lunch with me. I always keep a camera with me.
Well...they had news to tell me a few weeks ago. They are expecting a baby. I was a little bit shocked whenever they first told me. However, I was very understanding and I listened to them and their plans and dreams. I think that they were more 'shocked' with me not 'freaking out' as Cole calls it than I was at their news. They plan on getting married in a couple of weeks. Shanna and her mother brought Cole home yesterday. He was on his way home the day before and he had a blow -out. He changed the tire and drove about 15 miles and had another blow out with the spare! What are the odds of that happening!? Anyway, he walked about a mile to a gas station and called Shanna and her dad and they came and got him and took him to Walmart to get another tire. Cole unloaded his car with his suitcase, laptop, etc. and took them with him. He was afraid that someone would break in and steal his things. Well...when they got back, his car was gone! Someone stole it! He is so upset! He had just gotten the little car a few weeks ago. He traded his truck because he said that it wouldn't be big enough for him and Shanna and the baby. He was so sad last night. He said "Why would someone steal my car? It was just an old '94 Saturn." I feel bad for him. Tomorrow he goes out looking for a job. I keep telling him that everything will work out.
I know there is a reason for everything. God is in control and I am not suppose to worry. Please remember us in your prayers.

Congratulations on the bundle from Heaven ... may the marriage be blessed ...

Cole really had a day! I am so sorry he had to go thru this. It is so sad that there are such mean people out there. Hope they find his car. He's been thru enough now.

May all settle down & happiness abound.

Prayers for you all, Lee Laurie!

Congratulations on the new Grandbaby! I have a sister that gave all of us a shock, TWICE! However once the little one gets here, you can't help but love and adore them. That WalMart must have been in a sketchy neighborhood if your son was even worried about things being taken from his car. Poor guy, what rotten luck. I hope he has better luck with his next car!

Congratulation on your coming grandchild. I don't believe God makes mistakes and we have to trust His timing and not ours--even with babies, blowouts, and car theft :) Sometimes it just easier than others :)

It really sucks when people do mean things, I am so sorry about your son's car, hopefully he will get it back! I will pray he will get a job, that they will be blessed in their marriage and with the birth of their baby soon.

Bless your heart, take care of yourself too, it is never easy being a mother...

That was definitely a bad day for him! There are so many dishonest people in the world, it is sad.

Everything will work out and I mean everything! As long as those we love have their health and their heart, we can do anything!

I am proud of you for not "freaking out". These children of ours don't realize just how tough we are!

I will keep you in my prayers!

Well Laurie Lee I am right there with you. I believe you stopped by my post when I talked about getting the same news from my son back in December. My first grand child will be born sometime in the next four weeks. They are feeling lifes ups and downs from doing things "backwards". I can only pray they will prevail. He is getting noticably nervous! That is a shame about your sons car. I hope they find it.
