Almost The Brady Bunch

I was going through a box of pictures and I came across these of the kids taken a few years ago. I love these black and white pictures. These pictures have always been favorites of mine. I thought that since we just got through celebrating Mother's Day, that I would post them and tell you a little bit about each of the kids and what they are up to now.

This is Christy and Garrett. He was around 6 or 7 months old. I know that because he wasn't walking yet and it was in the fall because I remember all of the leaves outside on the ground. Christy was 18. She graduated from high school when Garrett was only 4 days old. She is now married to Phillip and they have a baby...my grandson...Jason Matthew. She plans to start college in the fall. She wants to become a nurse.

Cole, Christy, and Garrett. Cole was 9 years old. He had been the 'baby' for so long that it took him some getting use to...being a 'big' brother. Cole graduated from Camp Shelby this past December. He was going to start college this summer but he hasn't decided for sure what he wants to do. He has been thinking about enlisting with the Army.

Cole, Chase,(holding Garrett),Christy, and Erin.(holding 'Classie') My step children are very special to me. Erin and I talk all of the time. She graduated from high school in 1998...the same year that I did. (from college) LOL She is now a pharmacy tech. Classie was Sassy's mama. We had her for 9 years. We had Sassy for 13.

Chase graduated at the same time Christy did. They are only 3 months apart in age. His graduation was held the night before hers at a different high school. (Can You imagine me going to 2 graduations in 2 days with their 4 day old brother?) Their dad was out of town...at work. I had my hands full! Chase went to college and then took a break and got married to his girlfriend, Felicia. They now have 2 babies. My other grandsons. Christopher and Will. They are precious! Chase is back in college at Mississippi State. They have a sweet little family.

I love this picture. Each one of the kids are 'special' to me. They all have such different personalities. Chase...the quiet, thoughtful, smart, one. Erin...the motherly, caring, thoughtful, one. Christy...the sentimental, tenderhearted, thoughtful, one. Cole...the 'life of the party', artistic, thoughtful, one. Garrett...the full of questions, soft hearted, thoughtful one. The are all so special to me. Maybe I shouldn't have labeled them like this. However these words are the words that best describes each one to me. All of them as you can see are very thoughtful kids. They were all kind of thrown together when they were little (except for Garrett) and they grew up loving each other and 'being there' for one another. I am so thankful for that.
Thank y'all so much. I love each of you with all of my heart.

I loved this post. My boys don't really like me to write about them. But I might do it anyway. It looks like you have a very special family.
And thanks Lee for the wonderful comment on my story.
