Thrifting is COOL...

Good morning! I hope everyone had a good night. I slept pretty good last night. I only remember waking up once during the night. I had fallen asleep with my t.v. on in my bedroom and it woke me up with a preacher healing people. I started watching it and just thinking how I wish that God would make my Fibromyalgia pain go away. I know that He could do it. Anyway, this preacher was healing people of various illnesses, etc. and offering to send you some "Manna Bread" and some instructions on how he could heal you. He said you have to lay the bread on your body and follow the instructions that he sends to you and then eat the bread and you will be healed. Have any of you ever seen this on t.v. before? It was a first for me! Yesterday was such a bad day for me because of the pain that I stayed in the bed most of the day. I don't really know what to think about this preacher. I don't want to say that he is a fake or anything...but if he is, he will have to answer for all of this one day. I wanted to show you a few 'bargains ' that I got recently at my favorite thrift store. Isn't this little angel so pretty? I'm gonna give her a fresh coat of paint. I like that she is holding a heart. Perfect for Valentines Day! She was only $1.00.

When I saw this rose picture, I just had to have it! I paid $5.00 for it.

I also love this little metal frame with roses. I'm gonna paint it white and make it shabby. It was $2.00.

This little pillow was only 50 cents. I love it. It goes perfect with my bedroom.

I bought these 3 goodies at work on the clearance table. I also got the shower curtain to match. When I re-do my bathroom, I will use these. The pattern is called "rose garden".

I think that I did great with my thrifty finds. That is one of my favorite things to do! I love thrift shops! I've noticed that more people are shopping at them now than ever before. My friends use to laugh at me for going to them. I didn't care and certainly didn't let it stop me!
"I was 'thrifting' when 'thrifting' wasn't cool. I sing that to Barbara Mandrell's country song..."I was 'country' when 'country' wasn't cool. LOL

You do have away of finding those "deals". I use to NEVER shop...much less go to a thrift store, Salvation Army, TJ Max....etc. However, I am in the learning stage now...taking notes...watching...looking for that deal. Seeing stuff in stores they call antique and I am thinking..."I use to have one of them" I use to be the kind of shopper, that went into the store knowing what I wanted, purchase it and then leave. However,I even went shopping(maybe for a hour) the Friday after Thanksgiving last year...the first and last time though. Some of you women take this "shopping" way too serious...lol.
Keep thrifting...go green...Keep it COOL!!

You really found some cute items. I love to shop, but only for those great bargain items.

I cannot wait to see your bathroom put together with all of the accessories you purchased.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Oooooooo, girlfriend! You made out like a bandit! I love love love the pitcher. And the frame is just lovely. You better post the finished result! LOL. You have a good eye. My husband and I went to a mega flea market and then to several thrift shops. We came back home with many bags full of goodies. I took pictures of them last night but I am feeling so lazy tonight that I just didn't have the strength to post anything! I'm just sitting here visiting everybody's blogs and commenting on them.

I found two new thrift shops that just opened and I can't wait to check them out.

Thanks for sharing your "pretties" with us!

Hugs,
Deanna :)

HELLO LEE LAURIE,
I LOVE YOUR TREASURES ESPECIALLY THE ROSE PITCHER.
I LOVE TO GO TO THRIFT STORES, ESTATE SALES AND GARAGE SALES.
I AM NEW TO THE BLOGGING WORLD AND HAVE MET SOME AWESOME WOMEN.
I TOO HAVE FIBROMYALGIA ON TOP OF DIABETES.
ON THE SHOW YOU SAW ON HEALING...I DON'T KNOW WHO THE PASTOR/PREACHER WAS...I DON'T JUDGE IF SOMEONE IS REAL OR NOT BUT I PRAY FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TO GIVE ME THE WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT TO SPOT A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING AS THE BIBLE SAYS IN THE LATTER DAYS MANY WILL BE DECEIVED BY WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING.
WE MUST KNOW WHAT THE WORD SAYS AND THEN COMPARE IT TO WHAT IS BEING SAID AND IF IT DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT PRAY ABOUT IT. ANY ONE WHO IS PROMOTING THEMSELVES AND NOT JESUS IS ONE I COULD NOT SET UNDER THEIR MINISTRY.
HEALING IS QUITE A SUBJECT TO DISCUSS...MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN HEALED OF CANCER TWICE...BOTH TIMES THEY SAID SHE ONLY HAD TWO MONTHS TO LIVE. I AM A PRAYER WARRIOR THAT INTERCEDES FOR PEOPLE BUT YET I AM NOT HEALED...IN THE CASE OF THE MAN YOU SAW THAT SAID TO PLACE THE MANNA ON YOU AND THEN EAT IT.........IT WOULD NEVER...NEVER BE THE MANNA OR MERE MAN THAT HEALS YOU...IT IS ONLY JESUS CHRIST AND HIS MERCY AND GRACE THAT HEALS WHETHER HE IS GIVEN THE CREDIT OR NOT...BUT SOMETIMES JUST IN THE ACT OF OBEDIENCE YOU WOULD DO THE MANNA THING AS A WAY OF ACTING ON YOUR FAITH...THERE ARE MANY STORIES IN THE BIBLE WHERE PEOPLE ACTED OUT IN FAITH...THE WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE OF BLOOD WHO KNEW SHE WOULD BE HEALED IF SHE BUT TOUCHED THE HEM OF JESUS'S GARMENT AND HE KNEW IMMEDIATELY SOMEONE WITH FAITH HAD TOUCHED HIM
I DIDN'T MEAN TO GET INTO SUCH A SUBJECT BUT ALTHOUGH I AM NOT HEALED TODAY I KNOW THAT HEALING IS MINE AND THAT GOD IS THE GOD OF MIRACLES STILL TODAY...I HAVE SEEN THEM
BLESSINGS
