My daughter's birthday

I know I have been missing in action for a few days. I have been so busy with work. We are having inventory this week and I have been having to clean out my china stock room and also organize all of my china tables, etc. I just love dishes! Every time I go into the stockroom, I see another china pattern that I fall in love with. My daughter's birthday was on the 12th. She turned 26 years old. It seems like yesterday that I held her in my arms and looked into her eyes for the first time. Now she is a mama and she is experiencing all of the joys of having her own little baby to nurture and love. She is such a good little mama. I am so very proud of her. These are just a few 'pictures of pictures' that I wanted to share with you of me and Christy. I wanted to put more but I have to unpack my boxes and find them. I haven't hooked up my scanner as of yet...I haven't figured that one out yet. The song I have playing is a song that I use to sing to her when she was a baby. It was on a Disney movie that she loved...'Dumbo'. This is a better version of it. I just love Allison Craus. One day I was playing the CD for Christy in my car and when she heard it she got so emotional. She told me that she sang it to her baby. She was expecting at the time. I was so touched that she remembered the song.

Isn't she just adorable? I cherish these photos. They are some of my favorites. Christy has been such a joy to all of her family. All of her grandparents love her dearly.

Christy's husband Phillip, gave her a surprise birthday party the other night. He did all of the cooking himself while she was at work. He made chicken and dumplings, (her favorite) and sausage jambalaya, and bacon burgers. He even baked her a birthday cake. I will post pictures of her party as soon as I get them downloaded.

She was around 2 months old here. We were at her great grandparent's house. They loved her so much.

Last night when I got in from work, I visited a few of my favorite blog friends. I went to visit my friend Deanna from 'Timeless Things' and was surprised to see that she had posted about me and asked her blog friend's to come by my blog to read a post that I had written about me and my little brother and sister when we were little. I had no idea that this post would've touched so many people. I just poured out my heart that day. I felt warm all over that day and every time I get a knew comment on it, it makes me tear up. Thank you, Deanna for telling your friend's to come by. That was so sweet. You have become a very good blogging friend to me and I cherish that.

Happy Birthday to your daughter! I loved the pictures they are so sweet. I can imagine when you look at them how it seem that it was not so long ago when she was little. It's just like mom says, "It's seems like just yesterday....". I love when she says that.

What a wonderful husband to cook all of her favorites like that. I was craving chicken and dumplings the other day but I made a promise with myself...that when I lose 20 more lbs. I would make some chicken and dumplings to celebrate! I'll be good..I'll eat a small bowl!

By the way, when you want to delete a picture, just scroll your mouse over it, until it becomes blue and hit the delete button on your keyboard. It should take it away. I still have trouble with pictures too. Sometimes I forget how to post them in the order I want. We'll get it soon! :P

Many hugs,
Deanna :)

The movie Dumbo always makes me sad, isn't this song from the part where the mommy elephant is rocking Dumbo? That part makes me cry!
